Jul 20, 2020 The answer to that is that, No, TimeBucks is not a scam. TimeBucks is a legitimate Get-Paid-To (GPT) website that will pay users for various online tasks. But the better question to answer is, whether TimeBucks is a good enough way to make you money and in our opinion, that has very mixed results. TimeBucks is a Get-Paid-To site that rewards you in real cash for completing some simple tasks. Some of the tasks include taking surveys, polling, watching videos, installing mobile apps (free), playing games, taking selfies, simply doing a search, referring friends and much more. This domain itself has been around for quite awhile.

If you’re reading this review, then I assume you want to know if TimeBucks is a legit business where you can earn real money online, or if it’s a scam disguised as a legit money making opportunity.

Well, to save you a bit of time, from what I have experienced from this program and others like it, it does appear to be a legit way to make money, however, I don’t think it’s a very good way to earn money primarily because the payout is just so low.

This is not unusual for get-paid-to website to have low payouts, and I guess this is no different.

If there was a silver lining using this website, then it would be that they payout in cash as opposed to giftcards like similar websites and they have a low minimum threshold.

Often people join these websites to make money because they think that the tasks are easy to complete, and they have time to complete them.

But, there are other ways to make money online, that will pay you substantially more money for your time and effort.

What is TimeBucks?

TimeBucks is another GPT (get-paid-to) website that will pay people to complete small tasks like completing surveys, watching videos, completing offers, playing online games and more.

Whilst, the core business model is similar to other GPT websites, they do seem to offer some unique ways of making money that other GPT websites don’t.

For example, they currently have a way for people to make money following other Instagram users. They appear to add new ways to make money every now and again, and also remove methods that are not working.

The company is owned by Australian Clearing Pty Ltd.

Who uses TimeBucks?

TimeBucks appears to make money from the offers, surveys and any task you complete and they share a percentage of those earnings with you.

That being the case, the main user of TimeBucks are people who are wanting to make money in their spare time.

How To Join TimeBucks

The sign up process to TimeBucks is fairly intuitive, and there are two methods in which you can sign up.

1. You can sign up using your Facebook account or,
2. Using an email and password.

In order to complete the sign up process you must confirm your email address by clicking on the verification link in the email they send you.

You will also have to complete your profile in the settings tab in order to receive payments and agree to the terms and conditions of the website.

Once you’ve signed up you can login to your account and start earning money.

How Does TimeBucks Work?

There are several ways for you to earn money using this website much of which I discuss in the section below in detail.

But in essence, you spend time filling out offers, completing short and long surveys, playing online games, watching videos and more.

For each task you complete you will earn a small amount of money.

When I say a small amount of money, I mean a small amount, for example, you can earn $0.005 (yep – that’s not a typo) for watching 3 ads on a video. You would usually have to watch at least 1 minute of the video to view the ad, which means 3 minutes to earn $0.005 cents.

These amounts do add up over time and the tasks a very easy, but I can’t help but feel that everyones time is worth more than what they’re paying out.

Does TimeBucks have an App?

A lot of people have been interested in whether TimeBucks has a downloadable app that they earn money while on their mobile devices.

And the answer is yes and no. They have an app in development right now, that is scheduled to take several months to complete, but they don’t have a release date yet.

Support

One of the issues I see time and time again when I review online money making opportunities is the lack of support.

TimeBucks appear to have a friendly and helpful support service, that will address your support queries in a timely manner.

Chat Section

You can also get support from other users within the TimeBucks community. Simply send a message in the chat section and you’ll get a response from the users who are online.

How Do You Make Money With TimeBucks?

Now down to the main part of this review, how do you make money?

Surveys

You have access to a number of different surveys that are available for you to complete based on your demographic location. It looks like the location is largely determined by your IP address.

They usually indicate how long a survey will take and then the amount they’re willing to pay per completed survey.

I saw one survey that had a duration of 10 mins and was paying $0.30 and another that was estimated to take 15 minutes, paying out $0.42 cents. Longer length surveys will payout $0.90 to complete.

Content

In this task you will get paid to click on links from advertisers.

You must view the website for the specified time in seconds, which is usually around 60 seconds, to receive your credit, which is around $0.006 cents.

So that’s $0.36 per hour, not a good use of time in my opinion.

You can only view 1 ad at a time. If you close the tab before the timer ends, the timer will stop and you won’t receive your credit. You can allow a sound to play when the timer finishes.

Instagram

They also allow you to make money using your Instagram account. Some of the tasks you have to do is to follow other Instagram users using your Instagram account and you will be credited with funds.

If you’ve built up a good following on Instagram, then I would suggest you use a different account.

Videos

Like the name suggests, you can get paid to watch videos.

You are usually paid between $0.001 and $0.005 to watch video ads from Hideout.tv, you will have to watch 3 ads in order to redeem the funds.

Referral Program

You will earn 15% on anyone you refer to TimeBucks. Which translates to $0.15 cents for every referral who earns $1.

When a referral joins, they automatically earn $1, which means you’ll earn $0.15 cents as soon as a person joins through your link.

Say they reach the minimum threshold of $10, you will earn $1.50, for simply referring them.

TimeBucks provide you with a unique referral link that you can give to people when they sign up.

Offerwalls

Like most offerwalls, you will have to complete a series of offers in order to get paid. You will have access to a number of different offers including completing surveys, playing games etc.

Tasks

They will pay you to complete a number of small tasks from the Figure Eight job listing page.

Level – Many jobs are only available to contributors who have level badges.

Pay / Task – The reward you get for each completed task in work mode, as set by the task author. Most tasks require you to submit a full page to receive the reward.

# of Tasks – The estimated maximum number of tasks an individual contributor can currently do. This number will change based on a variety of factors including: number of other contributors working on the job, task author settings, and your overall performance.

Rating – Average overall satisfaction as rated by contributors who worked on the job.

Sell

You can use this tab to get cash back on items you want to purchase, or you can use it to sell things to other people and you will earn commission whenever someone buys something through your link.

Enjoy discounts that you would never be able to get if you shopped directly! After you make your purchase, your cash back will appear in your TimeBucks account within 5 business days.

Every time your level 1 referrals get a cash back, you will still get a referral commission on all of their purchases!

So if you have friends who are looking to buy something online, be sure to refer them to TimeBucks so you can earn a commission.

If your friends don’t want to join TimeBucks, you can still promote links to them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or anywhere you want.

For example, if your friend is looking to buy something from AliExpress, tell them to use your link instead so you can earn a commission from the sale!

In this task you will get free money. All you have to do is click the ROLL button and a random number will be generated.

Depending on what number you get, you will be paid out according to the roll payout table on their site .

You can come back every 24 hours to play again to try and win $100!

Even if you don’t win, you will always earn a minimum of $0.002.

You will also earn 50% of whatever your referrals get in this page.

But remember, if you don’t come back the next day, you will miss that chance to get free money!

Smartlink

In this task you will get access to promote what is called a “Smart Link”.

This is a link that redirects to a random offer depending on the users country and device.

Each time a user completes the offer, you will get paid. Each offer requires a different thing to convert.

You will not know what is required in order to convert, but it is usually to fill in a form or download an app.

This task is not designed for YOU to fill out yourself, although you can do this if you want, but it is not recommended. Instead, this is designed for you to promote to others on the internet.

Sweepstakes

TimeBucks has a weekly sweepstake prize give away where a total prize pool of $500 is awarded to 30 winners each week.

The winners are drawn at 12am Friday each week. Once the prizes are drawn, your entries will reset to 0.

How Do You Get Paid With TimeBucks?

Payment Proof

When researching the legitimacy of whether TimeBucks payout, I have seen enough images of proof of payment from users to convince me that they do payout to people.

Whilst, the figures are not large sums of money, nevertheless, people are making money with the opportunity. Whether or not it’s worthwhile is up to the individual.

Payment Methods

There are two ways in which you can get paid by TimeBucks, the first is via Paypal.

Most people have access to a Paypal account, and since it’s free to join, available in over 200 countries and supports over 25 different languages I would assume that the majority of people online would be happy to receive funds via this method.

The second option is via Bitcoin. Whilst, not as popular as Paypal, this is maybe an accepted alternative for some.

Minimum Payout

TimeBucks has a very low minimum payout threshold of only $10. There is no withdrawal button, rather a weekly payment schedule.

Frequency of Payment

TimeBucks will payout weekly (every Thursday) to those people who have earned the minimum threshold of $10, or more.

If your balance doesn’t meet the threshold, it would append to the following week and so on, until your balance reaches the required threshold.

There’s really no way to hack the TimeBucks system as most of the offers are through 3rd party websites and as such are bound by their terms of service.

Having said that, my number one tip is to spend more time referring people to TimeBucks, because you will make more money passively depending on how many referrals sign up.

What I Liked about Timebucks

• I liked the low minimum payout of $10. While this amount is the norm for a lot of GPT websites, it’s still good to have a low threshold.

• I like the fact that they add new earning methods from time to time and remove methods that are no longer working for it’s members.

• I like that they have a variety of different ways to earn money. They have a lot more methods that some of the other GPT websites I have reviewed.

• I like that they have a responsive support team ready to answer your queries, and the additional chat section means members can get answers from the community in real-time.

• I like that you don’t have to request payment and that payment is made automatically every Thursday if you meet the minimum threshold.

What I Don’t Like about Timebucks

• TimeBucks only has two ways of being paid out, one through Paypal, which most people should qualify for, and the second through Bitcoin. This means that some people may be unable to join because they can’t get access to either payment method.

• If you’re viewing surveys and offers outside of the United States, you will see that you won’t qualify to complete many of them because these offers are usually dictated by were you live in the world. You’ll find that the majority of surveys and offers are aimed at the United States, Canada and United Kingdom markets.

• I have to say that my biggest compliant with TimeBucks is the low payout for completing tasks. I’m not sure if anyone is keen to earn $0.36 per hour watching videos.

Do I Recommend Timebucks?

TimeBucks is a legitimate company that will pay you to complete small tasks like watching videos, playing online games, completing online offers and more.

They do offer a variety of different ways for people to make money online with their current suite, and they do add new earning methods and remove non performing methods from time to time.

They do seem to have a responsive support team and also additional live online chat facility for members to get timely answers, but at the end of the day, what let’s them down, in my opinion is the low payout.

Having said that, this is the norm for most GPT websites, so something to be aware of when decide whether or not to join.

Whilst, it is a legit way to make money, I wouldn’t recommend it as a long term way for you to earn money online, mostly because you won’t get paid much.
