Server Location is probably the most important factor. The closer the server to your physical location the better it is. Unfortunately the hosts do not offer servers at every possible country. That’s not to worry you, just pick a host where he has a server as close as possible to you. The server location will affect the ping!

Control Panel is vital to make things easier managing your server. Every host offer one. The most common control panel is the TCAdmin. TCAdmin offers all the tools you will need to manage anything from Mods, Missions with one click install, to Server Name and server logs. Other hosts offer a custom version of Control Panel that is equally good with TCAdmin offering at least the same, if not more options, settings and controls.

Slot Cap is the maximum number of player will be able to join your server at a season. This is something you need to keep it low. No reason to pay for 64 slots if you want the sever for you and your buddies. Start low and increase them with your needs. Minimum amount of slots is just the minimum that a host offer. Is not necessary to fill all the slots with players.

Price per Slot is simply the price in USD ($) that will cost you for each slot. Each slot represent a sit for a player in your server. If you have a 10 slot server it means at max 10 people at a time will be able to play. Most of the providers charge based on slots and others based on RAM.

DDoS protection is a firewall to filter out hackers. DDoS stand for Distributed Denial-of-service attack. “Hackers” use programs to create virtual traffic to your server with ultimate target to crash or slowdown the server. Now days is something you will rarely see happening and for me personal is of not vital. I have plenty of server with a host that is not offering DDoS and i had problem only once and that lasted 10 minutes.
